Amazon Alexa Ready to Assist Toyota and Lexus Owners
Many auto manufacturers have already integrated Amazon Alexa voice prompts than can activate the locks and temperature control on their vehicles. But it looks like Toyota is going all out with Alexa integration by providing the app’s full features for Toyota and Lexus cars equipped with EnTune 3.0 or EnForm 2.0 infotainment systems. While the Japanese carmaker didn’t specify which models will have Alexa, it’s most likely the Sienna and Camry initially—as they’re the only Toyotas with EnTune 3.0. As for Lexus, it’s probably the EnForm 2.0 ready models (LC, NX, RC and LS). Some benefits users can enjoy from Alexa are: note taking, setting reminders, turning on apps etc. What’s puzzling is that, despite Toyota’s efforts in connectivity, users can’t still get Apple CarPlay or Android Auto on any Toyota or Lexus.
