BMW Launches Intelligent Personal Assistant Communications System
As cars gradually turn into computers on wheels, how people deal with them is evolving. What used to be simple dashboards are now being swapped with HD, AI-powered supercomputers. Just recently, BMW launched Intelligent Personal Assistant, an AI-powered tech to assist drivers talk to their vehicles like they do with their mobile phones. Due to roll out next year, this always-on-call system is a smart, digital character than can run car settings, navigation and audio/video systems. Competitor Mercedes-Benz is also coming up with the same AI-based help tech in its next generation multimedia system. It will be called MBUX or Mercedes-Benz User Experience, which will be available in the new A-class sedan this year.
