General Motors Settles Charges with Biker Hit by Driverless Car
GM recently decided to settle a lawsuit filed by a biker engaged in a minor crash with 1 of its self-driving vehicles in San Francisco late 2017. Apparently, the motor biker, Oscar Nilsson, was injured during the accident and sued GM in US District Court last January for negligence. According to the lawyers during the joint court filing, final details shall be available by the end of June. Nilsson’s suit stated that the driverless car GM Cruise “suddenly veered back” into his lane, thus, hitting him and knocking him to the ground. His report also mentioned he suffered neck and shoulder injuries and will undergo long treatment—and was also needed to take disability leave.
