Porsche to Spend 2x on Greener Rides
Porsche will double its investment on greener cars as the fight in the EV arena intensifies. According to CEO Oliver Blume, electromobility expenses will be upped from 3 billion euros to over six billion euros ($7.4 billion) by 2022. 3 billion euros goes to cost of material assets, while the other 3 billion for development expenses. Roughly 500 million euros will be spent to create variations of the Mission E battery-powered sports vehicle. No further information were provided about the variations, except that they will be launched in 2019. The Mission E is likely to be available in range of performance options.
